I recently joined Aquaterra gym in the city of Bath (three weeks ago) with two friends so as to motivate each other! Heaven knows I need it.
This Thursday I had my first proper Zumba Toning class, for those who aren't aware of what Zumba is, it's a fitness class that involves a lot of aerobic dancing.
Zumba Toning is the same but with the added pressure of weights!
Now if anyone is worried about going because they aren't professional dancers and most definitely don't have "those moves like jagger" never fear, if I can do it, someone with the coordination of a beached whale, so can you.
It was energetic and bubbly, I am the last person that would be heard saying that I would choose to exercise, I haven't done more than an hours exercise since I was in school 5 years ago.
This however was actually fun, you can really feel it working so it's positive in that you know the work you're doing is amounting to something bigger. And as with most exercise you feel great about yourself after which is always a bonus.
So if you were debating doing something similar, grab some mates and have a go, you might like it. Just don't forget a bottle of water and expect a decent work out.
