I visited Zizzi's with a group of friends from work recently. We dined there on our lunch break, so I was judging the speed of service and how efficient they were with our group of six orders.

This particular branch is very picturesque. Inside it is large, cool and has a mix of textures: wood, marble floor and plenty of glass give it an authentic Italian 'feel'.

It also smells of basil - the scent of Italy in my eyes. There is a large, open kitchen to the right of the dining room, and the tables have both Italian extra virgin olive oil and a bottle of chilli-infused olive oil, perfect for dressing a salad.

This restaurant is in the middle of Beckenham High Street, and with its large windows, you can admire, from a slight height, mind you, whilst you're dining.

Speaking of the food, I ordered the chicken 'skinny picante' pizza. It claims to be 'skinny' because of the wholemeal, thin base. Don't let that put you off, it was delicious.

A healthy spread of tomato sauce with spinach, chilli peppers and chicken slivers made it a relatively healthy meal option.

My meal only cost £9.00 and we received a 25% discount because we used a voucher.

For a speedy lunch, that doesn't compromise on the trimmings, or that alluring Italian style, Zizzi's in Beckenham is your best bet.
