It's definitely not by chance that Birmingham is known as the new gastronomy capital of the UK. Its multicultural environment helps to build this status. People from different countries brought to this part of the country not just their heritage but also their food habits. That's the reason the international cuisine in Birmingham has its excellence.

This diversity also boasts the creativity among local businesses with cafés and restaurants around the city offering much more than simple menus to attract the clientele.

One of those places is the Yumm Café. Located in Zellig, inside the Custard Factory complex, in Digbeth, Yumm combines perfectly the finesse of a modern Café with the pleasurable experience of eating value homemade food.

It's a place to bring your girlfriends after a shopping day but it's also a site where you can find a healthy light bite without necessarily trekking to a snack shop near Bull Ring.

I would say that they also have the best veggie pizza ever tried and it's the reason I can't pass by in front of the Yumm without craving a succulent slice. Catering not just for vegetarian but also for those who enjoy homemade food, Yumm has a selection of sandwiches, paninis, bagels, salad and a variety of hot meal deals.

The prices are very cheap for the quality of food served.
It's just a pity they are not open also on Sundays, when it would be a very good option to eat before going out in the Digbeth area.
