With a name like The Macbeth, this 'haggard old party pub probably doesn't get many Scottish visitors, but for everyone else, it is a venue where you can enjoy live music and DJs. The pub has played host to bands such as Florence and the Machine, Gallows, Gang Of Four, Roots Manuva, and Drums of Death.
Many of these bands can be heard for free when you walk in, but they also have some special ticket nights. Next lined up is alternative rock group, The Yuck Takeover, who are going to be playing live between the 17th-19th September for the first time in two years.
This appearance not only celebrates the release their new album, Glow & Behold, which comes out at the end of the month, but also welcomes a new member to the fold; Ed Hayes will join Max, Jonny and Mariko as guitarist.
Yuck Live will perform classic favourites such as 'Get Away' and 'The Wall', but will also be giving ticket holders (£8) a sneak preview of the songs from Glow & Behold two weeks before it hits the shelves.
Don't let superstition stop you visiting The Macbeth - sorry, I mean The Scottish Play.
