Located in Kingston-Upon-Thames, a breezy suburb of Greater London sits Woody's, a rough diamond embedded on the shimmering Thames riverfront. Coaxed in by the retro, chic decor and a spectacular menu, this location is ideal for a romantic encounter or a smart, casual meeting. Opening their doors for families, they provide plenty of distractions to keep the kids entertained.



The friendly staff will advise you on what you might want to eat, though it is predominantly up to you. If you're having a light bite then look no further than the vegetarian sharing board or its carnivorous counterpart. The veggie friendly artichoke, lemon & asparagus pasta left me wondering why we eat meat, an issue rendered redundant with the fillet steak sandwich. If you can savour it in a civilised manner I doubt you're eating it right; this thing demands bite after succulent bite (just make sure your companion admires your skill at wolfing it down without nabbing your chips).
