From animals to waterslides and lots more in-between
There are many different family attractions all over Devon, but with many of them either being expensive or not set up to be open for the winter weather we were pleasantly surprised when we visited this one.

Woodlands Family Theme Park claims to be the largest family theme park in Devon and it is spread out over a large area with different attractions throughout.

It has a range of outdoor and indoor activities and is designed so that even in winter parts of the park can still be used, and during winter they reduce the entry fee to reflect this as parts of the park such as the outdoor water slides are closed.

The kids' indoor play areas are located in two different sections of the park with one of them having a play zone that is huge and set out over 5 levels with slides, ball pits and many other things to keep the kids entertained.

Beside the large playzone are three funfair type rides all aimed at young kids to teenagers, adults can go on the tower drop but we saw several having to wait to ride due to weight restrictions.

Food is available throughout the park and compared to many other places the prices are good, even being less than you would pay elsewhere in the area. If you want to bring in your own food there are many areas for you to eat inside, and unlike some venues we've been to you don't have to pay to sit inside.

Vertigo and Pirate ship swing

Though not everything was open when we visited they still had the swinging Sea Dragon ship and Vertigo Tower drop operating with us managing multiple rides.

Up at the top of a hill is the farm area and tractor ride, it has a good variety of animals and was bigger than we had expected, with birds, reptiles and other animals from around the world.

In another area of the park is a falconry zone that contains a large number of hunting birds, and depending on weather and season they have bird displays.

From toddlers to teenagers and adults there is something to entertain every member of the family and depending on the time of year you visit there may be a special offer on,

We visited for two days as they had an offer on where we only had to pay a 1 each on our way out on the first day and they gave us a wrist band to return the next day making it a very cheap day out.

Given how big the park is spending a few days here is easily possible and they also have a camping and caravan park that opens from March and gives campers free entry to the park.
