Winter Wonderland, the popular festive attraction in Hyde Park, is now in full swing and celebrating its 10th anniversary. With over 100 rides and attractions and a German-style Christmas Market packed with wooden chalets selling handicrafts, gifts, food and drink, there's plenty of entertainment in store this year.

While entry to the site itself is free, there are several shows and special events which can be booked and paid for in advance, including skating on the open-air ice rink, circus shows, and The Nutcracker on Ice. Sip a cocktail in the chilled-out environment of Bar Ice, complete with chairs and tables hewn from blocks of ice, or climb aboard the Giant Observation Wheel, which offers spectacular views across London.



The Magical Ice Kingdom has been created from 500 tonnes of ice and snow, and if you're planning a visit, wrap up warm, as the sculptures of igloos and polar bears are kept at sub-zero temperatures. You may need to seek out some hot chocolate or mulled wine to keep out the winter chill.

Winter Wonderland runs until 2 January, from 10 am to 10pm daily.
