Are you a killer or detective?
Did you ever play wink murder as a kid? It is a brilliant game, where a group sits in a circle; one person is the kill, another the detective. The killer looks around the circle killing people with a wink, and the detective has to figure out who the murderer is before everyone dies. I played it once, but most people in the circle just pretended that they hadn't been winked at, which sort of defeats the point.
Anyway, back on track. Wink Murder is the name of a Halloween party being held at 47/49, an old Victorian tannery, on the 2nd November.
Wink Murder is just one of the petrifying (okay maybe that's going a little over the top) parlour games you can play. There will also be scream worthy screenings of gothic horror films, and a ghoulish feast including devilled pork and a pumpkin wrap.
Will you be able to escape the spookables in the attic? It's harder than it sounds when you're lost in a terrifying maze. And don't think you'll be put at ease by '3's a Crowd's' rattling performances. You might, however, enjoy some phantom physical poetry by the Portmanteau Performance Company while testing a Victorian cocktail.
To round off the night there will be a secret film screening with live music by 'Dear Earth'.
Tickets are £15 and lasts between 7pm-11.30pm. You should dress Victorian/Horror style.
