Who will be your Number One performer at the Number 90? The canal side bar in Hackney Will is hosting its second Wicked Live night on the 12th February from 8pm. Five local bands will raise any drowning spirits from the awful wet weather.
Entry is free, so come and support local talent, meet new people, and have a drink and a dance.
The first to get on stage will be Rachel Hillary, a folk singer from Manchester who describes her music as 'poetry set to song'. She is inspired by Beat poets and plays the guitar, ukelele, mandolin, djembe drum, and banjo.
Charlotte Campell is 'a very polite street performer' and songwriter from London. Her influences include Joni Mitchell, Alanis Morissett, Colbie Callait, Jasen Mraz, Tristen Prettyman, and Tracey Chapman.
Guitarist, Joshua Iszard and bassist, Matthew Featherstone are former members of The Iconyx. They founded a new band clled The Limited, after joining up with two Welsh performers, singer, Aled Williams and drummer, Jack Howell.
The other music artists include Kat Reyes and pianist, Iro Kleitou. Originally from Cyprus, she moved to the UK in 2008 and studied music and musical theatre.
