Finding the right barbershop can be tricky - especially if you've got a beard or find your hair only works when it's cut a certain way. A terrible trim can put you off a place for life. So where are the best barbers in Portsmouth? Do you know someplace that has perfected the beard trim? Or perhaps your favourite is somewhere with a great atmosphere and a good chat. I used to know a place that sold 1kg jars of olives alongside their haircuts. We're after the best of the best, so we want your opinions on Portsmouth's barbershops.
The Barbership have three locations around the city: The Clocktower in Southsea, Blue Cannon Alley in Gosport, and Downtown in Portsmouth. There's attention to detail in everything from their haircuts and beard trims, to the decor in every barbershop. You'll find antique decor, deluxe chairs, and their own products to stock up your bathroom cabinet at home.
Razor's Edge are a bit less vintage style, more modern men's hairdressing. Less of a barbershop and more of a salon, Razor's Edge might not have the traditional barbershop feel but it does offer an affordable and quality haircut.
The Library Barbershop will look after you whether you're bushy faced or like a smooth shave. Their standard services include their 'Gentleman's Wash Cut' or their 'Gentleman's Dry Cut', but they also offer a quality beard trimming service, or their cut throat hot towel shave. They've got great atmosphere and great quality too.
