Wheels of steel

Have you go the mettle to take on Wheels of Steel?

Actually, it isn't quite as hardcore as it sounds. The sponsored bike ride does have some challenging routes, but if you would rather go at a gentler pace, then there are family themed courses as well. And what better way could there be to spend the day with the family than by keeping fit, exploring beautiful countryside, and raising money for the Children's Trust?

The event takes place on the 9th June and as well as a registration cost of £12.50 for adults and £10 for under 16s, they ask that you raise a minimum of £50.

There are a choice of four different routes to take, all around the North Downs of Surrey.

Family Fun Off Road

Nine miles through the woods and valleys of local Banstead Heath.

Family Challenge on Road

An eight and a half mile ride that gets you out of town.

Challenge on Road

Those looking for more of a challenge can go on a fifteen mile cycle, including a trip up Box Hill that will be sure to get your heart beating.

Box Hill Challenge

Cycle Box Hill as many times as you can before the end of the time limit.
