What You Can Find on Woodhouse Lane

Whether you want a casual night out or just a few pints in the pub, Woodhouse Lane alone can cater for your needs. It's right in the heart of the university areas so it's a great place to start if you're a fellow student and you don't want to go far for a couple drinks.

Dry Dock

Opposite the Leeds Beckett Library a unique 'cosy pub' can be found that is built into a barge on dry land. You can't miss it. They serve food, coffee and alcoholic beverages so you can pop in at 11am or 11pm and have whatever you fancy at the time. Check out their Facebook page for info on opening times around Christmas and NYE.

Further up Woodhouse Lane you will find The Fenton 'a lovely little boozer' that does events regularly, which vary greatly. Sometimes there's a pub quiz, other times gigs are on and sometimes there are more creative events that revolve around arts and crafts. To find out more check out their Facebook page or just pop in the next time you're walking past and see what's on at the time.

If you keep going, you'll notice a church. However, this is no ordinary church, it's been converted into a nightclub. If you're looking to be on your feet, dancing or partying, then Church Leeds is a good stop on Woodhouse Lane. Their next event is on the 17th December 2016, for more info, click here!

But what if you don't fancy a drink? Next door to Church Leeds, Get Baked can be found. It's an American Restaurant, open from 12am - 10pm. What's the dish they're best known for (at least that's how I first heard of them)? Pancakes! This is another great stop for students, whether it be for lunch or as an evening treat.

If you go beyond the lights yet more bars and pubs can be found, which is handy to know if you're new to the area. So there you have it- 4 places to go if you didn't know of them already. Enjoy!
