For five years, We Make London has been supporting British designers by allowing them to promote their work at markets, fairs, and just recently in their new book, Inspired: London and online shop,Boutique.
The designers involved are passionate about making unique items in a world overrun by mass production. Some of the creatives involved in the organisation include Justine Ellis and Jonna X Kagan, who both make printed homeware, Jewellery designers Jean Power and IlanaDesign, Jilltydrawings, who make British vintage gifts, and a children's costume company called I Want to Be a...
To celebrate its fifth birthday, We Make London are having at party at Camden Lock on the 7th June. The market will be open between 10am-6pm, at which time you will be able to take a sneak preview at their pop-up shop. Then in the evening from 6.30pm-8.30pm there will be music and a fashion catwalk show and live performance from TORA, who released her first album, Spilling Over, last year.
