Stalls, games and a dog show as festival returns to castle
Thousands of festival-goers descended on Tamworth town centre in Staffordshire to celebrate the We Love Tamworth 2021 event in the spectacular setting of the grounds of medieval Tamworth Castle. Visitors were treated to a fantastic day of fun and entertainment as part of this year's edition of the festival, which took place on Saturday, September 11. We Love Tamworth 2021, hosted by Tamworth Borough Council's Arts & Events team, was rocking with people from near and far as they enjoyed the 26 stalls, a fairground, food, drinks, games, a fun children's zone, dog show, bungee runs, obstacle courses, a bouncy castle and live music from Bryan Brindley. And history was made at this year's event with New Urban Era launching the town's first-ever Environmental Arts Festival. The organisers of the successful Tamworth Urban Arts and Sports Festival showcased various art displays – from painters and nature art workshops to live yoga lessons and a trapeze show.
Councillor Robert Pritchard, Deputy Leader of Tamworth Borough Council, said: "It was a weekend for the ages with our wonderful We Love Tamworth event showcasing the best of Tamworth. It was great to see people getting into the party spirit to celebrate Tamworth and just being able to enjoy themselves. This year's event also coincided with the Tamworth Gusto Food Festival, so there really was lots going on for a great day out for the whole family."
