To paraphrase Dorothy: 'There is no place like London.' I hope I can convince you of that here. Also check out my blog at damselwithadulcimer.wordpress.com and my theatre reviews at www.playstosee.com
Event: -
Wallace, Gromit and the Aurora Orchestra at Hammersmith
After their sell out performance at last year's BBC Proms, your favourite animated plasticine pair will be returning to the London stage over Easter in 'Wallace & Gromit's Musical Marvels'. The entire family will be able to enjoy the dynamic duo's capers as they prepare for the latest musical masterpiece to hail out of Yorkshire: 'My Concerto in Eee, Lad'.

Man and dog will share the orchestral accompaniment of the Aurora Orchestra playing music by Debussy, Stravinsky and Mozart. The musicians will remain in situ to perform the background music to a bonus full length screening of 'A Matter of Loaf and Death'. I have my doubts that everything will proceed smoothly and without mishap, but you should buy your own tickets and try to prove me wrong. And don't forget that a nice mug of tea (preferably with a big 'W' on the outside) will soon make you feel better.

The show will be performed three times at the Hammersmith Apollo over the holiday weekend, preceded by two performances at the Brighton Dome. Tickets are available from the show's website.

You've got to love Wallace & Gromit. The orchestra sounds great, and really fits.
