This sharp, artistic and spacious cafe, lounge and cocktail bar, run by local residence, is located in the heart of Headingley at 13A North Lane.
I popped into the café for the £6.95 'Full Monty' Large English Breakfast, this includes a glass of fruit juice and unlimited hot drinks. The cafe's team of highly trained chefs prepare the meals using fresh, high quality and very tasty ingredients sourced from small local Headingly businesses. Although the breakfast did take some time to arrive this is easily forgiven as the cooking is done to order so that when the food did arrive everything was cooked to perfection.
The waitress who served me was very professional and friendly and was happy to chat and let me take some pictures of the café area. Voodoo has a large glass panel frontage with floods the area with light and gives it a relaxed and open feel. The raised café area is furnished with a variety of colourful tables and chairs and a number of modern art works produced by local artists are displayed on the walls. The lounge area, set just below, is opposite the bar and has two big sofas.
I came away from Voodoo café feeling bigger in the belly but very impressed with both the food and the level of friendly service. This place defiantly represents the best of Headingley and I highly recommend at least one visit. I know I will be back for more.
