It was a beautiful sunny day in Leeds, which had coincided perfectly with my housemate's birthday. She wanted to take us somewhere new, and made a booking at Viva Cuba in Armley.
The restaurant is a sultry set up, and pictures of Che Guevara line the walls. While you're waiting for your meal, try one of their cocktails. I tried a daiquiri, which was incredibly strong but wonderfully sweet.
I'm a big tapas fan, so was impressed by the South American spin. We all opted for the Tapas Banquet, which at £15.95 per person provides you with olives, tortilla chips and condiments, as well as an incredible selection of dishes (the Cuban meatballs were my absolute favourite). This is well worth a try if you go as a large group and can't quite decide what to choose.
Although Viva Cuba would make a great location for a date, I would recommend going as a large party. The chatter and laughter fueled by the excellent food will leave you talking about the evening for weeks to come!
