The Landmark Arts Centre is a place for the community to get immerse themselves in a range of activities, including music, dance, acting, comedy, and the visual arts. You can attend quiz nights, fairs, exhibitions, and learn new skills through a range of classes. There are a number of courses just about to start. Creative EmbroideryFrom 20th January, Mondays, 12.45pm-3.15pm, 8 weeks, £126
You'll learn drawing, stitching, and hand embroidery techniques to produce attractive textile images that can be framed or presented in decorative ways.
Oil Sketching
From 20th January, Mondays, 7pm–9.30pm, 8 weeks, £126
You will learn oil painting techniques, composition, and how to mix colours to create sketches on boards and handmade panels.
FeltmakingFrom 21st January, Tuesdays, 2pm-4.30pm, 6 weeks, £99
You will learn to combine fabrics, and how to felt wool fibres using moisture, friction, and heat. This makes the fibres shrink and interlock, creating a new, natural and very resilient fabric.
Exploring DrawingFrom 21st January, Tuesdays, 7pm–9.30pm, 8 weeks, £126
For beginners and intermediates who wish to develop their drawing and painting skills. You will work towards making a landscape painting.
Painting with AcrylicsFrom 22nd January, Wednesdays, 7pm-9.30pm, 8 weeks, £126
You will learn how to paint a wide range of subjects on boards and on canvas. Work at an easel to develop core skills in composition, colour theory and textures.
Photography23rd January, Thursdays, 10am–12.30pm, 8 weeks £126
Suitable for people with both digital and film cameras, learn how to make the most of the model you own.
Printmaking
27th February, Thursdays, 7pm–9.30pm, 6 weeks £99
The course aims to help you gain an understanding of forms, composition, and colour schemes. It concentrates on creative relief printmaking without a press.
