is the Wylde Green branch of the loungers cafe; whilst I'm not a fan of chain-eateries I was completely smitten with the easy-going venue. It's one of the smaller lounges I've visited, but that made it only more cosy.

Boasting the granny-chic decor, I felt at home. My friend and I were merely off out for a late lunch/early dinner, and Verdo stuck out like a beacon in the dark. It was only about 5.30pm when we visited on a Friday late afternoon, but because of the season, it was dark, and Verdo looked ever so inviting.

We nestled on the comfy booth-like seat and perused the menu. My friend had never been before, so it was interesting to see what she'd order. She was stuck for choice, and though a meat eater, she decided for the halloumi and sweet potato salad. Healthy, fresh, and yet filling - it's a perfect dish if you want to test the waters, and only £9.00.

I however, stuck to my favourite; Lounge Eggs (£6.75) - I know what I like, and loved my order when it arrived.

The difference about compared to the others, is the service. When we placed our drinks orders at the bar, the waiter was funny, charming, and the three of us enjoyed a bit of banter. He was quite relaxed in the sense that he let us look on the back of the drinks bottles before we made our decisions. The Prego drinks aren't 100% juice, so if you're a stickler for details, like me, then don't worry about it - the staff are more than happy to let you have a gander and make your choice from there on in. We took our time and again our waiter was patient, and fun.

Our food was served within 15 minutes of ordering, and whilst we chowed down although a cosy space, we hardly noticed the amount of people who had arrived because it isn't a loud kind of venue. It was only when we looked up did we realise a number of couples, and families in groups of three, six and seven had arrived. I can understand why it's popular however, the food is very good, the service is superb, and they welcome all ages, and it works for every budget.

Many were sipping alcohol, cuppas, and then there were the other groups who, like my friend and I, were happily tucking into platefuls of food.

If you're ever in Sutton and want somewhere relatively quiet to enjoy a catch up with a few friends, or need somewhere to lounge with a hot drink, look no further than , it's really quite wonderful.
