Veg Box Cafe in Canterbury

Open from 8.30 am to 5.00 pm, the Veg Box Cafe serves super healthy breakfasts, lunches and mid-afternoon treats. The plates always arrive full of colour and packed with flavour. Wherever possible, they use local ingredients and they advertise their sources. Expect to find veggie soup with sourdough bread, fermented salads with a side of kimchi and jacket potatoes topped with homemade baked beans. Each dish is very tasty - it's hard to pick just one. A choice of coffee or tea can be ordered with a slice of vegan cake, and there's a wide range of nutrient-packed smoothies too. Plant-based milk and syrups can be added to a beverage, just ask the waitress. Orders are taken and paid for at the counter and your food and drinks are brought to the table.

The dishes are veggie or vegan with gluten-free options available as well.

The café is not on the main street but can be found just one road over in Burgate along from the Cathedral. It's set back slightly and has a spacious outdoor seating area to the front.
