A winter treat for London's glamour hunters
Most of us may not be wealthy enough to own a Valentino gown (or tall enough to pull one off), but thanks to an exhibition at Somerset House this winter, we can at least admire the veteran couturier's elegant creations up close (and dream).
The master himself with his signature red couture gowns
Fashionistas, expect to see plenty of signature red ball-gowns, as the show spans the fifty years of the iconic Italian's haute couture career. Visitors can swoon over 130 hand-crafted designs, including many worn by screen sirens of the past and present, such as Sophia Loren, Grace Kelly and Julia Roberts, whilst video footage from within the hallowed atelier brings to life the painstaking work behind them.
You'll even get the opportunity to impersonate the many supermodels who've done justice to Valentino's frocks, as you sashay down the exhibition's own sixty metre catwalk.
Throw on something glamorous, darling, and get down to Somerset House from November onwards.
