Located in Selfridges on Level 2, just near Juicy Couture and Karen Millen, is this styling section.

[ADVERT]I was lucky enough to get a voucher for a free styling session at , normally £20, when I attended The Show:Ten in the Bullring and was intrigued to see what they could do.

I had a lovely hair-stylist, Claire, who I showed some of my ideas to and she went about constructing it. She was friendly but not fake and not one of those hairstylists that talks incessantly, which is a plus for me.

I wanted something that looked kinda effortless, a la Brigitte Bardot and a little like a hair tutorial I had found on the Beauty Department website

I was really happy with the result, I even napped in the style and slept overnight with it and it was still in tact. I did take pictures but it seems my phone has put them into a black hole.

She only glanced at the style but was able to execute it beautifully and it looked even better then the picture. Signs of a true professional. The braid was a little thinner, a Spanish braid, and she wrapped my hair around the mid section so the rubber bands would not be visible. I was out of there in 20 minutes too.

Its a walk-in service so there is no need to book and there is always someone there, manning the station.
