Exhibition of the work of young Chinese artists
Artshake: Yiyuan Tang Museum exhibition hosted in the Angear Visitor Centre space in Lakeside Arts Centre is part of the UK Young Artists City Takeover taking place across Nottingham city. The Takeover seeks to 'immerse Nottingham in an array of extraordinary, innovative and contemporary work from 200 artists from across the globe.' Select works of young Chinese artists are on display in the Yiyuan Tang Museum exhibition to coincide with the University of Nottingham's Chinese New Year celebrations.

Sen Lin (b. 1981, Dalian, Liaoning), Jumping Water, 2017

The exhibition space is bright white and muted neutral colours accented by large windows of natural light. The carefully selected works on display, with their naturalistic themes and neutral colour palettes, fit seamlessly into this setting. A variety of mediums are used here, including paints, mixed media, sculpture, textile and cloth.

Dan Lu (b. 1983, Shanghai), One Cloud, 2017

Alex Yuan (b. 1971, Shanghai), I'm Bobby Fischer, 2017

The exhibition brings together vibrant, creative young artists in celebration of the University's relationship with China and to honour the Chinese new year. Admission is free. The exhibition will be closing at the end of February.
