Get your trainers on and start running; there are plenty of marathons and running challenges that you can sign up for this year that are all great fundraising opportunities for Marie Curie. You can support the charity by registering for a run and joining
London 10K&date=05/27/2013 Team Daffodil . So whether you take part in a
Great Bupa Run , get messy with
Mud Madness or want to go the
Whole Hog , whatever part of the country you're in, there will be something going on near you. Here are just some of the events taking place, but you can see the full list

[SECTION]Half Marathons[/SECTION]
Bath Half Marathon
3rd March, 9am-3pm, Great Pulteney Street, Bath, BA2 4BX
The 'Bath Half' marathon is one of the most popular city runs in the UK, probably because it is a traffic-free route that gives tranquil views of the River Avon. The course is 13.1 miles, and since it is on flat land, the Bath Half is perfect for beginners. Registration is £35 and requires £175 sponsorship.
Rock 'n' Roll Edinburgh Half Marathon
14th April, 9am-3pm, Holyrood Park, Queens Drive, Edinburgh
The 13.1 mile course starts in Holyrood Park with a glorious view of Arthur's Seat. You will then run through the city past sites such as Scottish Parliament and Edinburgh Castle. Every mile you'll be motivated onwards with live music, and will receive free entry to the post-race concert. Registration is £32 and requires £100 sponsorship.
Plymouth Half Marathon
28th April, 10am, Hoe Park, Plymouth
Run along the promenade with views of the seafront and picturesque Barbican. Register for £20, and raise £200 in sponsorship to enter.
Leeds Half Marathon
2nd May, 9.30am-7.30pm, Millennium Square, Leeds
Is £26 to register, but there is no minimum sponsorship.
[SECTION]Marathon Festivals[/SECTION]
Bournemouth Marathon Festival
5th & 6th October, 9am, Kings Park Drive, Bournemouth
Get some fresh sea air and stunning views as you run along the South Coast. You have a choice of 5km or 10km on the 5th October for £10, or a full or half marathon on the 6th October for £45 or £20 respectively. Sponsorship is between £150 - £500.
Edinburgh Marathon Festival
25th & 26th May, 10am, Regent Road, Edinburgh
The Edinburgh Marathon Festival has been voted the fastest marathon in the UK. You can choose from a run of 5km or 10km on the 25th May for £10, and a half marathon, team relay, or full marathon on the 26th of May for £20 or £45 respectively. Sponsorship is between £150-£500.

Brighton Marathon
14th April, 8.30am-7.30pm, Preston Park, Brighton
A 26.2 mile course with picturesque views, the Bright Marathon starts at Preston Park, passing the iconic Brighton Pavilion before you reach the beautiful Sussex coastline and the finish at Madeira Drive.
Greater Manchester Marathon

Trafford, Sir Matt Busby Way, Old Trafford, M16 0RA%%
The Greater Manchester Marathon is the flattest course in the UK. Registration is £41 and you need £400 sponsorship.
Deep River Rock Belfast City Marathon
6th May, 9am-5pm, City Hall, Belfast
With four options on this marathon to Ormeau Park, there is something for everyone: choose a three mile family run, nine mile walk, a marathon run, or a wheelchair marathon.
