Every Wednesday evening between now and the end of February you can visit the Tower of London after the crowds have left. Granted you won't be able to enter any of the main towers, or see the Crown Jewels, but this atmospheric Twilight Tour of what is arguably the most famous and iconic medieval structure in Britain more than compensates.



One of the Yeoman Warders, resplendent in his black and red livery, will guide you over the ancient cobbles to regale you with ghostly tales and scare you with the spooky secrets guarded by this fortress that was built to guard prisoners and traitors. After viewing Traitors' Gate, the Bloody Tower and the Scaffold Site, will you be able to convince yourself that you really haven't seen any ghosts in the half-light?
