Twice The Siren - now there's a catchy name. Again, on one of my favourite London streets is a shop that gives you more.
This shop specialises in pretty things - jewellery and gems, with a particular penchant for silver and the more unusual of gemstones. As you can tell, you are looking at designer pieces here - specially crafted, yet surprisingly very affordable.
So what is available? Well, you can choose from lovely decorative earrings, large-stone to delicate rings, and chunky to ever-so-slender bracelets - with more items besides.
As I previously said, their choice of interesting and unusual semi-precious stones make for pieces that will get people's attention and become talking points, while keeping you and your bank manager happy through their very kind-on-the-pocket prices.
The store also stocks a range of clothing and gift ideas, including such things as wallets, purses, as well as such things as greetings cards and candles - with a large amount of the products being designed by the owner, Caroline Scott.
Should you be visiting (or planning on visiting) the Ideal Home Exhibition, held yearly at Earl's Court, London's premier event for everything connected with home and decoration, you'll be sure to find Twice the Siren
there too - so perfect if you think Waterloo is a little bit off your normal route...
So, it's not just another reason to visit one of the best shopping streets in London (in my humble opinion), but a great place if you are the type of person who struggles to find great, affordable gifts for friends and family that will guarantee to really please them - or, of course, another really great place to treat yourself - and why not?
