Why is it difficult to coax a coconut off its perch?

[SECTION]Answer[/SECTION]

Because it is too shy to come down.

Yes, I know you are all groaning loudly right now, but I bet none of you got the answer.

If you have given up trying to knock over coconuts, you could at least give it one more go for charity. Trinity Hospice is holding a Country Fayre in the garden on the 29th July, and there will be lots of family fun activities to get involved in.

Trinity Hospice need to raise £6 million a year, and they would not be able to do it without fundraising events like these. Last year, their Country Fayre attracted over nine hundred people, who raised £7000. That's enough to fund a nurse for five weeks.

Entry is £5 for adults and £1 for children. You can also get a discount family ticket for £10 if you book in advance. Entertainment will include Morris dancing, face painting, and of course there will be a coconut shy.

Did You Hear the Story About the Disgusting Sandwich? Gareth Edwards reveals all during storytime. If that doesn't put you off your food, they will be cooking up a hog roast, and serving drinks at the Pimms bar.

If you just can't wait, you can start the festivities early by downloading a bunting pack . Print it off, decorate, and bring it to the fayre to hang up.
