The began in Peebles, and we caught it at the second stop-off point: the Lake District, last weekend. It is an eight-day tour of Britain, which revellers can support at each location for free.
I have to say the atmosphere is electric, and even though it was a rainy morning last weekend, everyone was in high spirits as the countdown to the start of the race began.
The following stop-off points are in the countryside areas of each town, so it's likely you'll be able to marvel at the scenery as well as enjoy the energy from competitors.
Find the cyclists at the following locations:
Sidmouth to
Haytor Dartmouth on the 20th September.
Epsom to
Guildford 21st September.
London stage 22nd September.
Sunday is the end of the tour, and it promises to be an atmospheric way to rounding off your weekend.
I do feel like we were lucky: the Lake District is breathtaking, and a real testament to British countryside.
It's too late to take part in the race, but you can enjoy it from the sidelines like I did, and soak up the atmosphere. Trust me, it's an exciting bit of history to enjoy, even if you aren't part of the race.
