Ice skating legends Torvill and Dean are commemorating the 40th anniversary of their Olympic gold medals by announcing their 'last dance' tour. Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean returned to Sarajevo on the 14th February, exactly 40 years to the day since they won gold at the 1984 Winter Olympics with their stunning performance to Ravel’s Bolero. They chose the occasion to announce that they will be retiring from skating together in spring 2025, when they embark on their last ever live UK tour, entitled ‘Torvill & Dean: Our Last Dance’

This will be the very last chance to see the world’s most famous skating superstars in action on the ice together. The 28-date tour will travel across the UK, including Birmingham’s Resorts World Arena on the 25th, 26th and 27th April 2025. Tickets went on sale at 8am on 14 February, or ‘Bolero Day’ - s Jayne and Chris affectionately call it. Torvill and Dean were invited by the Mayor of Sarajevo to visit the city to mark the 40th anniversary of the Winter Olympics, The skaters were able to relive the memories of four decades ago when their iconic heart-stopping performance attracted a UK television audience of 24 million people.



‘Torvill & Dean: Our Last Dance’ UK Tour will be the last time that Jayne and Chris will perform on ice together, 50 years since they formed their incredible skating partnership - giving audiences one last chance to see and celebrate the iconic duo.  Jayne and Christopher said: "Following the kind invitation from the Mayor, we are thrilled to be back in Sarajevo 40 years on from that memorable day. Returning to the city which provided such a life-changing moment for us is incredibly nostalgic and brings back so many wonderful memories.

"We’re also feeling very emotional as we announce our 2025 farewell tour: ‘Torvill & Dean: Our Last Dance’. Whilst we will continue to work together off the ice, this will be the final time we will skate together following our 50-year partnership. But not without celebrating one final time with all of our incredible fans across the UK, who have supported us constantly over many years. We promise to put on an amazing live show – and we really hope to see you there!”
