Having lived in Leamington since I was 4, I feel as though I can shed some light on the many restaurants in this small town, with new ones continuing to open. I am a student, therefore these restaurants will be reasonably priced but the quality is high.

Number 5: The Paprika Club
For all the Indian food lovers out there, while Leamington has a lot of South Asain restaurants, this one is a good place to start. It has all the classic dishes such as korma, madras and masala but it also has a lot of vegetarian options and some excellent chef recommendations. There is also a lot of variety in the dishes and it's easy to find something you may not have come across in other Indian restaurants. They also provide takeaways so that's always a bonus for us lazier diners.

Number 4: The Duke
The Duke is certainly geared towards the young and edgy with its modern paintings and decor. During the summer, the rooftop terrace is the best place to relax, lying on a sofa and sipping a cocktail. It's also a great place for adults of all ages to enjoy the food, drinks and atmosphere. Not only is this a good place to go for breakfast, it also covers lunch and dinner. The burger menu always catches my eye- especially the donut burger where the burger bread is replaced by two sugar donuts. They also do Sunday roasts and different deals every day, so there is really no excuse not to go and try it out.

Number 3: La Coppola
La Coppola is arguably the best Italian restaurant in Leamington. It is always on high demand so if you are planning to visit, make sure to book a table. Unlike chain Italian restaurants, La Coppola has a variety of dishes and isn't afraid to show diners that there's more to Italian food than pasta and pizza. The steaks and antipasti are recommended as well as the extensive wine list. This is the perfect place to go for a date, meal with friends or a family occasion.

Number 2: The Ruby
Two of my favourite words when deciding what to eat are "Chinese" and "buffet". The Ruby fits the bill perfectly. This quaint little restaurant has been a very popular place to go for birthdays and work meals. Depending on the number of people you're with, there is a certain number of dishes you're allowed to order for each round. This is a great place to go if, like me, you cannot restrict yourself to one or two dishes and just need a bit of everything. For the duck pancakes, it costs a little extra per person but it is worth it.

Number 1: Elma
Over the past year, this Mediterranean restaurant has become my favourite place to go among my family and friends. It's the meze platters that I initially fell in love with, perfect to share with someone as part of a light lunch or a starter for a small group of people. Any lamb dish is also a winner, very succulent and it really does melt in the mouth. Since it's Mediterranean-themed, the dishes are light but very filling. If you're only in Leamington for one night, this is a great place to dine and the service is good.
