If you're trying to decide where to see in the New Year in Manchester, you're simply spoilt for choice. Whether you fancy some great comedy, boogying along to the best disco, or sipping cocktails under the stars, Manchester has it all. Here's what's going on in the City this New Year's Eve.
La Discoteque at The Albert Hall
Join La Discoteque for a gigantic disco party, featuring Chicago House veteran Derrick Carter with a rare "Derrick Does Disco set" and Hot Chip's Alexis Taylor who will be paying homage to Prince with his electrifying Prince Tribute.
Singer Candi Staton, known for the disco hits "You Got the Love" and "Young Hearts Run Free" will also be on hand to help you see in 2017.
This will be The Milton Club's 4th New Year's Eve Party and they're claiming this to be the best, with hand-picked entertainment and DJs from throughout the year.
A red carpet will be rolled out for guests, where they can strut their stuff and strike a pose as they prepare to see in 2017 in style. The first 100 guests will receive a complimentary glass of fizz to start the night off. With limited edition cocktails, fire breathers, showgirls and more, it promises to be a night to remember.
See the New Year in with a 4 course dinner catered by James Martin Manchester, enjoy live music from a saxophonist and party band, and dance the night away with the club's DJ. There will also be the chance to take part in some Blackjack and Roulette Learn to Play Sessions.
Great John Street is giving party-goers two options this year.
A sumptuous black tie event, featuring a spectacular dinner dance. Head to the Oyster Bar for a welcome glass of Champagne, before sitting down to an indulgent three-course meal. Afterwards, dance the night away to the hotel's live entertainment.
Tickets are £75 and include arrival champagne and canapés, three-course meal and live entertainment.
If you would rather skip the meal, and fancy a more Informal affair, why not head to Great John Street's roof terrace where you can sip cocktails under the stars, before partying till dawn on the dance floor.
Tickets are £60 and include arrival cocktail, a flow of canapés from 9pm-11.30pm, champagne toast at midnight and resident DJ until 2am.
Why not start 2017 laughing your socks off? The Frog and Bucket will be bringing in two headline comedians along with a world class compere for a night of hilarious comedy. Afterwards, there will be a disco, allowing you to have a good old dance. There's also the option to have a Christmas Dinner beforehand.
Doors open at 7pm so you can have a drink before the real fun begins.
It's worth noting that they also run a NOT New Year's Eve party for the poor parents who can't get babysitters. It is exactly the same as the New Year's Eve Party, only a day earlier.
