The summer is at its peak and there are a lot of things to do in London. But July is almost over, so we need to look forward to August. What events can this wonderful month give us?


Wilderness: 7-10 Aug

This festival is a mixture of all sorts of arts. You can enjoy great musicians, theatre plays, horse riding, wonderful cuisine, even some outdoor spa. There are activities for all ages.

The musical side is quite interesting too. The main headliners are London Grammar, Burt Bacharach and Metronomy. But there will be more than 40 other artists dedicated to make you feel good with brilliant vibes.

The Big Festival: 29-31 Aug

The Big Festival 2014

A unique combination of food and music. The Big Festival is organised by the top chef Jamie Oliver and Alex James from Blur. This is a really innovative way to combine two favourite things in one place - good food and quality music. And the festival is good for all ages. It's even free for children under 12. If food from pop-up restaurants is not enough maybe you'll enjoy the line-up. You can listen to Fatboy Slim, Kelis, Cuban Brothers, Guilty Pleasure, Jamie Cullum, Molotov Jukebox, De La Soul and many more.

The Roof Top Society Welcomes Rooftop Film Club: 6th Aug 2014 to 31st Aug 2014

Location: 7th floor of Springbridge Car park, Ealing Broadway

The car park will be transformed to an outdoor movie theatre. You can watch Hollywood blockbusters pictures and some classic cults. Watch it like the Americans do it - from your car. You'll be able to have some premium beer, food deliveries on reasonable prices, so it won't be just movies.

Holi One: Aug 2 2014

The most colourful even of the year. It's almost similar to the Festival of Colours, but better. There will be music, dancing, paint and excitement. What you need? Bring white clothes, a camera to capture everything, your positive attitude and a smile. It's from 12:00 to 22:00, but there might be an after party.

Notting Hill Carnival: 24-25 Aug 2014
