Finding a unique gift for Christmas can be difficult, especially if you want it to also be ethical or artisan.
Here's a round-up of some of the most interesting out of the ordinary products that caught our eye ahead of Christmas 2020.
Candles with a difference
M&J Ethical Luxury launched in 2011 to bring a range of beautifully scented candles that are more ethical than the average candle.
There are 11 different seasonal scents, all inspired by different locations all over the world that come in a 100% recycled glass tumbler.
Founder of the candle company Jennifer McNabb has a background in fashion design. She was so upset with what she saw involved with fast fashion that she branched out on her own and is now particularly eco-conscious and socially responsible about her brand.
The handmade candles have a wick made from 100% natural cotton/linen while the wax is sustainably sourced soy wax. The oils are all clean burning to IFA standards and even the packaging uses non-toxic vegetable ink and is carbon neutralised with a donation to World Land Trust. The company also makes a donation to Nia woman's charity for every candle sold.
Large candles cost £35 and burn for around 60 hours while small candles are £23 with a burn of around 20 hours. Find out more at the
M&J Ethical Luxury website here.
Holistic London candles bring the scents of the outdoors inside. The exhilarating new outdoor collection includes Firewood, Meadow and even Forest, which evokes a sense of Nordic scenes.
The candles are 100% natural and organic scented candles, made without paraffin and from natural ingredients instead that are vegan-friendly and not tested on animals. The Company has just launched its zero waste candles range too.
Along with its wide range of candles, there are also heavenly fragranced bath salts, wellbeing kits and room sprays that start from £10. Find out more at the

Love Hemp balm is a CBD body salve that is only made with organic ingredients. Hand blended and luxurious, this deep conditioning body salve harnesses the spirit-lifting properties of the hemp plant.
Love Hemp founders Tony Calamita and Tom Rowland were old school friends who began their journey with CBD when Tom's father turned to natural products and health supplements during his battle with cancer. They discovered how CBD is a natural way to help support pain, anxiety and sleeplessness.
CBD is a natural extract derived from hemp, a variety of cannabis. Each 50ml body salve jar contains 300mg of CBD. Find out more about the range of products at the
