If you're the kind of person who likes marshmallows in your hot chocolate, toppings on your ice cream and a good old afternoon tea, then this is the article for you! Join me as we countdown London's 5 best places to indulge your sweet tooth

Soft Serve Society

Located just a walk away from Old Street Station, Soft Serve Society are experts in the making of this frozen beverage, known for their eccentric and flavoursome toppings. Their famous soft Ice cream comes in Vanilla or Matcha (green tea) flavours and customers can choose from a range of toppings including popcorn, salted caramel and even edible flowers! Their Sundae concoctions are equally as impressive. 'Cloud 9' is my favourite and one for Instagram with generous scoops of Ice-Cream piled with Candy floss and popping candy as a topping. Prices stand at a cool 4.95 for all Sundaes, 7.95 for Freakshakes and 3.50 for a cone plus one scoop, with toppings costing an additional 50p each.

Ben's Cookies

This delightful chain of bakeries can be found all around Central London and beyond the UK. For as little as 1.45, you yourself can get a taste of their fantastic range of cookies. My favourites are ones with a filling inside, usually Nutella, milk or white chocolate. With flavours such as White Chocolate and Macadamia, Milk Chocolate Orange and Triple Chocolate, there's plenty to choose from. Wanting to share the love? You can take home a branded tin of 4 cookies for just 7.25, or double that for just 12.95. Tip: If taking home, place the cookie(s) In the oven for approx 5 mins to enjoy warm for an even better experience!

The Delaunay

This Vienna-Inspired afternoon tea brings traditions of Central Europe to Covent Garden, London where guests can enjoy a range of fresh cakes and sweet treats made freshly in store. With their extensive menu range, expect traditional Viennese treats such as Gugelhupfs and Stroh rum cake. Along with your afternoon tea, why not add a choice of tea to wash it all down with? (The Delaunay blended tea is a firm favourite amongst guests).

Hummingbird Bakery

You name it, this place has it. The Hummingbird Bakery sell everything from tray bakes and cupcakes to birthday and wedding cakes, all available to order or collect, the choice is yours! Cupcakes start from 2.50 including red velvet, Carrot cake and cookie flavours. A selection box of mini cupcakes and larger celebration cakes are perfect as a gift for a loved one. As for the big stuff, you can order a large cake to collect for just 25, perfect for sharing or celebrations.

Crosstown Doughnuts

This Soho cafe provides great quality coffee and doughnuts every day, perfect for those on the go. Their exotic and adventurous flavours are what makes this cafe extraordinary, including Kiwi and green apple, and beetroot lemon-thyme flavours, draped in icing and sprinkled with your favourite toppings. What's more, Each dough is available in premium, Sourdough or Vegetarian options catering to the needs of almost any dietary needs. This place is a must see for those wanting to try new flavours
