Top 3 Coffee Shops in Forfar

The number of options for a coffee in Forfar have expanded over the years and it's no longer just tea and a sticky bun at the bakery to choose from. Here are my top three.
88 Degrees Fine Food Emporium
Best for delicious cakes and chocolates
An intimate cafe with simple modern decor, you are greeted with a tempting array of homemade cakes which are baked daily. Their artisan chocolatier sells award winning truffles and chocolate bars to eat or take away. Light lunches are also available and the display of interesting salads are very tempting. They have a passion for coffee and their own brew is specially made to complement the local water. Where else could you say you've had a cup of the mutt's nutts.

The Stag Coffee Shop
Best for relaxing with the newspaper
The Stag is a popular spot for both coffee and lunch. You can tuck yourself away upstairs on comfortable leather sofas and flick through a bundle of up to date magazines or the daily newspaper. There is a lift upstairs and a bit more room than 88 Degrees which is ideal if you have a pushchair with you.

Forfar Golf Driving Range
Best for a view with your hot beverage
For a backdrop with a difference, head out of town to
Forfar's Golf Driving Range . Their farm coffee shop enjoys views from panoramic windows where you watch golfers practicing their skills. As well as coffee and cake, you can enjoy a light lunch here. Homemade soup, sandwiches and paninis are all available. The driving range and coffee shop were built by local farmer Jim Nicoll and the facilities are up to date and well maintained. If you fancy a go on the driving range there are fourteen floodlit bays and a couple of professionals who can provide lessons or improve your skilss.
