Former Spandau Ballet frontman in special one-off concert
For one night only - legendary pop superstar Tony Hadley is to perform a special one-off concert in aid of a charity arts organisation of which he is patron. Lichfield Festival and Lichfield Cathedral are jointly presenting Tony Hadley Live on December 3. The performance, which takes place in the fabulous setting of the medieval cathedral, is to help raise much-needed funds to support the Lichfield Festival - the region's premier multi-arts festival. Tony, the former lead singer of the hugely successful band Spandau Ballet, will perform a selection of his classic hits, as well as songs from his latest album and a sprinkling of festive favourites.

Tony, who will be backed by a fabulous band, became a Patron of Lichfield Festival in 2017, helping to emphasise the festival's broad appeal and wide-ranging programming. The former I'm A Celebrity …participant, who has family connections to the Staffordshire city of Lichfield, has also generously agreed to donate his fee to the nearby St Giles' Hospice in Whittington which cares for local people and families living with a potentially terminal illness. Tony said: "It is such a privilege to be able to perform in the magnificent Lichfield Cathedral. It's going to be a wonderful evening that will also raise money for two very important causes. The band and I are really looking forward to it." Tony will be returning to the region in 2020/21 as part of a 40-date UK tour to celebrate his 40 years in the music business.
