With a soundtrack of Jones's hits, the show takes the audience back in time to the beginning of the Welshman's career. Back to the dance halls, working men's clubs and recording studios of the 1960s where the legend of Tom Jones was born, in the Valleys.
Promoted as an "inspirational story of self-belief and determination", it has a track list of hits including Ghost Riders in the Sky, Spanish Harlem and Lucille.

The most famous tunes are saved for later though when It's Not Unusual, Delilah, Green, Green Grass of Home and What's New Pussycat aim to get the audience to their feet.
Playing the lead role of Tom Jones in most performances is actor Kit Orton, whose other roles have included Sir Lancelot in Spamalot on tour and also at the Harold Pinter Theatre. Tim Bonser will also perform this role at some shows.

Among the rest of the cast is Elin Phillips playing Linda, Nicola Reynolds is Vi and Phylip Harries stars as Jack Lister.

The musical is written by Mike James and directed by Geinor Styles, with musical arrangements by Ben Goddard, set design by Sean Crowley and sound design by Mike Beer.
