I'm good at making toast in the kitchen, but when it comes to giving toasts at the table, it is a completely different matter. If the thought of public speaking is as terrifying to you as it is to me, then maybe we could both do with a workshop from the Toastmasters . The team from The School of Social Entrepreneurs on Tooley Street can help you gain confidence in public speaking, and show you how to make a charismatic speech. So whether you have to give presentation at work, prepare for an important interview, or even simply say a few words at the dinner table, don't find yourself short.



Toastmasters hold free classes twice a month, and help develop skills in listening, speaking, management, and leadership. The next class is on the 5th May, and starts at 6.15pm. There is no need to book, just show up, and say hi.

Remember, whatever you have to do, it will never be as intimidating as giving The King's Speech. If George VI could do it, so can you.
