The Musical about a Musical

When Jeff Bowen and Hunter Bell were given three weeks to write a musical, you can imagine a fair amount of panic set in. While the lyricist and author struggled to create the show of their dreams, the deadline was fast approaching. Then suddenly, at the last minute. they realised that their failed attempts for the perfect musical made the perfect storyline for a perfect musical.

And so [Title of Show] was born. Named after the scary headline on the application form, they entered the two entered the musical for the New York Musical Theatre Festival. It made its debut at the Manhattan Theatre Source in 2004, and then several other venues on and off Broadway.

Now [Title of Show] has arrived in the UK for its London premiere. A comic chronicle of its own creation, the one-act musical can be seen at the Landor Theatre until the 29th September. Tickets are 18, with shows at 7.30pm or 3pm.
