A horse racing spectacular
Do something different this Christmas at The Tingle Creek Christmas Festival. It is a festive horse jump and racing competition held at Sandown Park, on the weekend of the 7th-8th December.
The annual event is named after the their most famous horse from the 1970s. Tingle Creek won 23 races in his career often leaving the other horses behind in a trail of dust.
On Saturday you can watch the Tingle Creek Chase, which is named in his honour, and will include current legends such as Kauto Star, Desert Orchid, and Moscow Flyer.
There will be plenty of other activities to enjoy too, such as sleigh rides from Esher Station, a Santa's Grotto with a free lucky dip, and a pantomime performance of Sleeping Beauty.
You will also have the opportunity to get a book signed by the popular children's author, Ian Whybrow, listen to a carol concert by the New London Singers, and get your Christmas shopping done under one roof at the Hi Life Christmas Show Market
Anyone under 18 will have free admission when accompanied by an adult, and there will be a creche to drop the extra little ones off.
Tickets art between £15-£33. On Saturday the gates open at 11am, and on Sunday, 10.30am.
