Tinderbox is more than just a cafe - it's an oasis of power points in an unfriendly world. Cruising skirting boards for power points leaves a person feeling cowed, and not just because that's the angle you need to have your head on. Yet Tinderbox has all these wonderful rows of power points just waiting to GIVE you POWER for FREE.

It's more than just a place to work as well, it's also a cafe. The coffees are served with care - and often with those pretty patterns in the milk or crema on top. And they have a good selection of teas and cakes and sandwiches and cookies and slices and other things to fuel you while you tap away at your laptop. Or chat to your friends, or read your book - let's get this clear, the Tinderbox is equally welcoming to all cafe related activities. It's not cheap, but the service is usually pretty organised and of course there's all that free power.

In fact the décor is one of Tinderbox's big pluses. Aside from the well located plugs they also have 'bunk seats', little covered alcoves below and rows of benches above. Which along with the couple of leather airline chairs, a long, sturdy communal bench and lots of two top tables, means that they've done well with fitting as many seats as possible into the space while making it cool not cramped.

You may also appreciated all the polite little signs up asking people to be lovely about sharing the space, and generally people are. Yay.
