Did you know that Michael Jackson's Thriller album, which was first released on 30th November 1982 is the best-selling recording of all time? Taking that into account, when the award winning director, Gary Lloyd, decided to base a musical on the hit song and King of Pop, he had a lot to live up to.
Expectations were high, and fans were either going to scream with joy or scream with fury. Fortunately for Lloyd, when ThrillerPremiered on the West End in 2006, it was a great success. So much in fact, that it is still going strong seven years down the line. The show is currently being performed at the Lyric Theatre in London, but for those not living in the capital, a whole new cast are about to take off on a world tour. It's UK appearance is scheduled between the 20th November - 14th February, starting in Stoke, and ending in Woking. Tickets range from £19.15-£32.50, depending on where you are based. It will include two hours non-stop hit songs such as 'Want You Back', 'ABC', 'Can You Feel It', 'Off The Wall', 'The Way You Make Me Feel', 'Smooth Criminal', 'Beat It', 'Billie Jean', 'Dirty Diana', 'They Don't Care About Us', and of course, 'Thriller'.
