Rhian and Nicole are artists who are passionate about bringing creativity to the masses. Together, they founded Think Make Do , where they not only teach their own private workshops, but also get involved in community events at museums, schools, galleries, etc.

They also help out charities, by running special events, including series of fortnightly workshops that they are currently holding at the Oxfam Shop on Castle Street, Kingston. For £15, you can join them on Thursdays between 7pm-9pm, where they will teach you a range of textile processes such as French knitting and printing.

Using these techniques you will upcycle Oxfam's second-hand clothing to make it something new and exciting. Once you have finished, you have the choice of buying the garment or hanging it on Oxfam's rail so that it can be sold at a better price than it would have previously gone for.

The next workshop dates are:

23rd May - French Knitting
6th June - Shibori (Japanese tie-dye)
20th June - Creative Stitch
4th July - Finger Knitting
18th July - Printing onto Rust
1st August - Knitting with Wire
15th August - Mono Printing
