It's a cliffhanger of a town
The towns of Lynton and Lynmouth have been drawing in tourists for over 200 years, with their picturesque location on the North Devon coast they are a perfect place to enjoy a summer's day.

They were one of the first places in the UK to get street lighting with their own hydropower station and one of the last to be connected to the Nation grid.

We stumbled upon them as we adventured along the North coast of Devon, separated by only a cliff, you can walk between them via several different paths that meander through the cliff, it is a reasonably easy walk down but the return is more strenuous.

Each town contains an array of different cafes to suit all tastes and shops for you to explore, with Lynmouth having a small museum of agricultural and domestic tools and an art centre and Lynmouth with a nice beach and park that even has free barbeques which is something you don't usually see in the UK.

Between the two towns, you are sure to find more than enough to see and do to fill a day or two.
