The Theatre Makers are a social enterprise group that gives people somewhere to train, make, and collaborate. Based at The London Irish Centre in Camden Square, they run workshops for professionals, the next generation, first-timers, and the curious.
During the summer, The Theatre Makers are putting on a range of courses for various groups, so whether you want to give the kids something to do in the holidays or improve your own acting ability, there is something for anyone with a flare for the dramatic.

Dare to Discover
4th - 8th August, 9am-12pm & 1pm-4pm, £130

A one week course for children 4 - 7 years old. Specially tailored activities will send them on a journey of game-play, world-making, music, movement, poetry, art, theatre, science and philosophy.

The Next Generation of Theatremakers
4th - 8th August, 10am - 4pm, £200

In this teen summer school, there are two groups to choose from 14 - 16 years old or 16 - 18 years old. Moving beyond fun, and gauging into key skills and techniques, the week-long course will focus on physical theatre, improvisation, devising, creative writing, and musicality.

Our Bodies Speak
28th July - 1st August, £200

For those who want to refine their acting, this intensive workshop focusses on the teachings of Jacques Lecoq. You will learn how to tell stories with your body, and make theatre that moves. Over the week you will cover character, ensemble, physicality, rhythm, choreography, sound, scale, perspective, and space.
