Who Has Your Vote?

As far as I see it, when it comes to reality TV, there is a competition not only between the contestants on the show, but also the broadcasters. I think one of the most well known examples is between the BBC's Strictly Come Dancing and ITV's The X-Factor. For a long while, The X-Factor was always on top with ratings, but recently, Strictly has started to sneak ahead.

While these battles are going on at the studios, there is also a battle going on at home for the viewer. Which one to watch? If you only like one or the other, it is not a problem, but if you like both shows, then you are going to miss out because they are on at the same time.

You can always watch on catch-up TV, but it lacks the immediacy and excitement of the live event (and you can't vote).

That problem is solved, however, when television takes to the stage. You can have your dancing and sing to it too, when both Strictly Come Dancing and The X-Factor go on a live tour across the UK.

I mentioned the Strictly Tour earlier this year, but now the details for The X-Factor have also been announced.

Starting from 15th February in Belfast, the final eight contestants from 2013 will be travelling across the UK until they reach Brighton on the 29th March.

See and hear Abi Alton, Hannah Barrett, Luke Friend, Nicholas McDonald, Rough Copy, Sam Callahan, Tamera Foster, and the nation's winner of choice, Sam Bailey. Tickets are between 38.02 - 40.25.
