Here in Britain, we are known as being a nation of tea lovers, but there are a lot of coffee-holics out there too. If you need caffeine in the morning to wake you up, then why not share your favourite beverage with your friends and neighbours on the 27th September for the World's Biggest Coffee Morning ?

Organised by Cancer Macmillan, it is the charity's biggest fundraising event, with last year breaking an all time record of £15 million. They hope to break another record this year, and to help, all you have to do is mingle, drink coffee, and eat cake. Sweet deal, huh?

To get involved, first check to see if there are any coffee mornings planned in your area . If not, then you can always host your own coffee morning, where it be at home, school, or work. After you sign up , you will be sent a free fundraising kit to get you started. The kit will include thirty invitations, balloons, a table cover, cake flags, a 'guess the coffee bean' sweepstakes, and handy tips for organising the perfect coffee morning.

Funds are raised by the donations made from people buying coffee and cakes. The tastier the grub, the more people will buy, so make sure you check out some of the delicious recipe suggestions from celebrities supporting the project. Try out Joanna Lumley's pecan and muscavoda Cookies, Jo Brand's passion cake, and Stephen Fry's honey buns.
