Be Terrified As The Supernatural Tale Takes To The Road
The stage production of supernatural thriller, The Woman In Black, is embarking on a UK tour commencing at the Lichfield Garrick theatre in September.
Susan Hill's acclaimed ghost story, which recently starred former Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe in the lead role of lawyer Arthur Kipps, is taking to the road following its ongoing record breaking run at the Fortune Theatre in London's West End.
The Woman In Black is embarking on a UK stage tour
The stage production of The Woman in Black is to go out on a major UK Tour, which is starting off at the Lichfield Garrick from Tuesday 13 to Saturday 17 September. The terrifying thriller will come dramatically alive in Stephen Mallatratt's ingenious stage adaptation.
The gripping production, directed by Robin Herford, tells the story of a lawyer obsessed with a curse that he believes has been cast over him and his family by the spectre of a Woman in Black. He engages a sceptical young actor to help him tell his terrifying story and exorcise the fear that grips his soul.
Lichfield Garrick is the first stop for the supernatural thriller
It all begins innocently enough, but then, as they reach further into his darkest memories, they find themselves caught up in a world of eerie marshes and moaning winds.
The stage production of The Woman In Black has already attracted seven million theatregoers worldwide over the years. But it was also made into a successful film in 2012 starring Daniel Radcliffe alongside the likes of Ciaran Hinds, Janet McTeer and Sophie Stuckey.

The horror film adaptation, produced by Hammer Film Productions, was written by Jane Goldman and directed by James Watkins, and was the second movie version of Susan Hill's 1983 novel.
