[ADVERT]Formerly Scruffy Murphy's, The Wick at Both Ends is anything but. It is now an opulent yet cosy bar with a fabulous selection of cocktails, an excellent food menu and a very comprehensive beer list. After a long hard day in the office we took advantage of their 'after work drinks deals' and treated ourselves to the 'DIY Bellini' which consists of a bottle of Prosecco and two fresh fruit juice blends of your choice. We opted for strawberry and orange blossom and pineapple and passion fruit.



My boyfriend went for the more masculine option of the Einstock Icelandic Toasted Porter, which he described as "chocolatey with coffee notes".



Meanwhile, our friends enjoyed sampling the Deception real ale and a pint of Fruili. Unfortunately, the first glass of Fruili wasn't quite up to scratch (we reckon it had been in the line a couple of days) but luckily the friendly barman was happy to swap it for a fresh pint. In fact, the service was great generally and the staff were happy to advise on beer choice and offer tasters of the ale.



After a few sherbets it was time to line our stomachs and luckily, there was a great menu to choose from with 'Wick and Mix' British tapas at £3.95 each or 3 dishes for £10.
