The Shard located in London, is a soaring masterpiece that locals and tourists have had the privilege of ogling both inside and out. This 95-storey skyscraper, located in Southwark London, is the creative genius of Italian engineer and architect Renzo Piano and was opened to the public in July 2012.
The View from the Shard is one to be witnessed by all who venture to the iconic UK city.
Not only is the building open seven days a week (364 days a year), but it is also home to a myriad of activities and installations to suit all ages. Forget the token photo for social media, but experience sky high yoga 8:30am every Saturday morning or a silent disco every Saturday night at 10:00pm along with pop up cinemas sporadically throughout the year.

I had the opportunity to visit this stunning architectural masterpiece with a friend from school and found it to be a great experience. There for 10:30am we got our tickets and headed into the lift up to the viewing deck. On this particular day (with the Wimbledon competition in full swing) we were welcomed with a glass of bubbly which was a nice little surprise to enhance our customer experience.

The View from the Shard also has its own photographer who takes some pictures which you can purchase at the end of the visit for a small fee. Experiencing our own 360 views at a leisurely pace, we were informed that we could also venture up to the top-most level which has an amazing open-air tip which comes together with separate panels that taper in with views of the sky. This is by far the icing on the cake (obviously if you have come on a good day) and rounds off what is a memorable experience shared between friends and those prior and to follow.
